Bajaj Finance's AI Bots Generate Rs 2,744 Crore Loans, Cost Ratio Improves Slightly

Bajaj Finance operated 130 AI agents by September 30, 2026, up from 62 in June. AI voice and text bots generated Rs 2,744 crore in loans in Q2FY27, a 112% increase from Rs 1,295 crore the previous year. Despite this, the operating expense ratio fell only 10 basis points to 33%. Overall expenses rose 23% to Rs 5,275 crore due to branch expansion. Management expects a 25-40 bps cost ratio improvement in FY27.
