B.Tech Student Dies After Falling from University Building in Bengaluru

A 20-year-old B.Tech student, S. Varshini from Andhra Pradesh, died after allegedly jumping from the sixth floor of an administrative block at a private university near Nagandenahalli, Bengaluru Rural district. The incident occurred around 9 p.m. on Thursday. Police found no suicide note but are examining her study materials. A case was filed against the block in-charge for causing death by negligence under Section 106 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Six Arrested for Extorting Spa Employees in Bengaluru

The Vidyaranyapura police in Bengaluru arrested six people, including four women, for assaulting spa and salon employees and extorting money by posing as media representatives.
