Auto Sales Rise 18.2% To Record 83.88 Lakh Units In Q2 FY27

Domestic auto sales in India rose 18.2% year-on-year to a record 83.88 lakh units in Q2 FY2026-27, with all major segments hitting their highest second-quarter sales, according to SIAM. Passenger vehicles grew 30.7% to 13.61 lakh units, two-wheelers 15.2% to 64.33 lakh, three-wheelers 23.6% to 2.85 lakh, and commercial vehicles 28.7% to 3.09 lakh. Growth was driven by GST 2.0, strong rural and urban demand, freight movement, and infrastructure activity.

ITAT Cancels Rs 9.04L Tax Notice on LIC Leave Encashment
