Arvind Kejriwal, AAP convenor and former Delhi chief minister, was detained by Delhi Police on Saturday shortly after urging people to join a protest over the Chief Election Commissioner row. Kejriwal accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah of creating an authoritarian atmosphere and suppressing questions about electoral irregularities. Several AAP leaders were also detained following his call to march to Delhi.
