Arunachal Pradesh to Launch Northeast's First Geothermal Drying Unit
Arunachal Pradesh will inaugurate the Northeast's first geothermal-powered drying unit in Dirang on November 10, aimed at providing farmers in high-altitude areas a green energy source for drying fruits and livestock products. The project, led by the Centre for Earth Sciences and Himalayan Studies with Norwegian and Icelandic partners, uses geothermal heat around 50°C to 54°C to generate clean electricity without environmental harm.
