The Indian Army launched a major search operation in the Keran sector of north Kashmir after troops foiled an infiltration attempt near Jamgund village close to the Line of Control. A brief encounter occurred around 3 am, and the search expanded into nearby forests to check for infiltrators. The Keran sector has seen fewer infiltration attempts recently but remains a known route. Earlier, a terror hideout was busted in Kupwara with weapons recovered.
