Armed Forces Tribunal Upholds Dismissal of Major for Illegal Relations

The Indian Army dismissed a Major for having illegal relations with fellow officers' wives, termed 'stealing affection.' The Armed Forces Tribunal (AFT) upheld this decision and rejected the Major's review petition. The case dates back to August 2023, initiated by a complaint from the Major's then-wife. Despite the wife withdrawing the complaint after their divorce in March 2024, the Army considered it a disciplinary violation and proceeded with dismissal.
