Dennis Sirrine, an Arizona businessman, spent years and hundreds of thousands of dollars creating one of America's largest private garden railways. Since 2004, his Palo Verde Southwestern Railroad has featured nearly 4,000 feet of track, hundreds of model train cars, artificial mountains, and lakes. The project required extensive construction, multiple rebuilds, and a custom operating system.
