Arini Capital Management's main hedge fund losses deepened to 32% for the year by late October, including a 19.7% loss in October alone due to weak credit markets. The fund, specializing in high-yield debt, re-underwrote its five largest positions, which make up two-thirds of its net asset value, and reduced gross leverage to the lowest since early 2022. It also received $389 million in inflows last week as part of a $1.5 billion raise. The fund acknowledged underestimating CCC rated debt dislocation but remains confident in its core positions.
