Appointment of Tribal Mentor-Teachers Delayed in Kerala
The appointment process for Gothrabandhu mentor-teachers, aimed at supporting ultra-marginalised tribal students in Kerala, is progressing slowly. The project, started in 2017-18 to reduce dropout rates among tribal communities like Adiya, Paniya, and Kattunayakan, faces delays due to a High Court stay on fresh recruitment. The government had announced 326 vacancies across Wayanad, Palakkad, and Malappuram districts.
