Anup Bagchi Appointed New MD and CEO of HDFC Bank

HDFC Bank, one of India's largest private sector banks, has appointed Anup Bagchi as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. The Reserve Bank of India approved his appointment, and Bagchi will take charge from October 27, 2026. The current MD and CEO, Shashidhar Jagdishan, will step down on October 26, having declined reappointment. Bagchi was also appointed additional director from October 2 until shareholder approval.
