Anti-Narcotic Task Force Office Gains Statewide Police Station Status

The Karnataka government has declared the Anti-Narcotic Task Force (ANTF) office as a police station with jurisdiction across the entire state. This empowers the ANTF to enforce the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, and the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS), 2023. An officer of at least Police Inspector rank will lead the station under the Additional Director General of Police, ANTF.
