Andhra Pradesh Civil Supplies Minister Nadendla Manohar announced plans to discuss a permanent solution with the Centre for the recurring gunny bag shortage during paddy procurement seasons. The state achieved record paddy procurement this Rabi season, with 19.7 lakh tonnes procured so far. Rs 4,600 crore has been credited to 1.9 lakh farmers.
