Andhra Pradesh Sees Violence, Fake Nominations in Local Polls

During the nomination phase for MPTC and ZPTC elections in Andhra Pradesh, especially in Rayalaseema, 31 election-related incidents were reported across 13 districts. These included 22 cases of violence, clashes, and public order disturbances, and 9 cases of nomination papers being snatched or torn. Police reported stone-pelting damaging a police vehicle and injuring a constable. Two people, including a candidate, were critically injured, with several others hurt in clashes and protests.
