HealthAndhra Pradesh Removes 51 Doctors for Prolonged Absence from Duty
The Andhra Pradesh government removed 51 doctors from teaching hospitals under the Directorate of Medical Education for prolonged absence from duty. The group included 41 Assistant Professors, eight Associate Professors, and two tutors. Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav stated that those absent for long are considered resigned. Show-cause notices were issued, and doctors were given a chance to explain. Additionally, 44 teaching staffers absent for less than a year received memos.
