Andhra Pradesh Launches Rs 1 Lakh Crore Horticulture Plan for Rayalaseema

Andhra Pradesh has unveiled a Rs 1 lakh crore Integrated Horticulture Development Plan (IHDP) to transform Rayalaseema, one of India's driest regions. The plan, running from August 2026 to July 2029, aims to expand horticulture to 14.41 lakh hectares, nearly doubling production and benefiting 9.6 lakh farmers. It includes Rs 40,352 crore from public funds and Rs 60,000 crore from private investors, focusing initially on water infrastructure and road connectivity across 201 clusters in 10 districts.
