The Andhra Pradesh State Disaster Management Authority (APSDMA) warned on Sunday that a depression in the Bay of Bengal could intensify into a severe cyclonic storm by October 27. APSDMA Managing Director Prakhar Jain urged people to remain vigilant as the weather system is developing rapidly. The depression is moving southeast at 5 km/h and was centered over the east-central and adjoining southeast Bay of Bengal early Sunday.
