Andhra Man Arrested for Killing and Dismembering Woman Over Child Dispute

The Ibrahimpatnam police in Andhra Pradesh’s NTR district arrested Mohammed Shafi, 35, for allegedly killing 30-year-old Valluripalli Kalyani over a dispute involving a child. Shafi dismembered her body and dumped the remains in a cooling canal near Narla Tatarao Thermal Power Station. A second accused, Durga Rao alias Abdullah, is absconding. The case surfaced after the victim's torso was found on September 18.
