Anahat, ranked world No. 15 and reigning world junior champion, lost 11-5, 6-11, 4-11, 7-11, marking her third consecutive loss to Sivasangari. Earlier, Anahat had notable wins over Egypt’s world No. 3 Nour El Sherbini and world No. 14 Hany.
