Amul Raises Prices of Ghee and Butter Ahead of Diwali

Amul, India's largest dairy brand, has increased prices of ghee and butter just before the Diwali festival. The price of 1 kg Amul ghee has risen from ₹630 to ₹680, and 500 gm pure ghee pouch now costs ₹345, up from ₹325. Butter prices also increased, with 100 gm packets now ₹66 and 500 gm packets ₹325. Supply shortages reported in Vadodara, Ahmedabad, Pune, Kolkata, and Jammu-Kashmir are contributing to the price hike.
