Ambuja Cements to Invest $1.5 Billion to Raise Capacity to 155 MTPA by 2030

Ambuja Cements announced a ₹14,500 crore ($1.53 billion) investment to increase its cement production capacity to 155 million metric tons per annum by fiscal year 2030. Currently at 113.5 MTPA, capacity is expected to reach 119 MTPA by March 2027. Expansion will cover Assam, Bihar, Jharkhand, Gujarat, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, enhancing presence in eastern, western, and northern India. The plan follows a 34.7% quarterly net profit decline due to higher fuel and freight costs.
