Allahabad HC Rules POCSO Survivor Eligible for Compensation Without Injury Marks

The Allahabad High Court ruled that a POCSO Act survivor cannot be denied compensation solely due to the absence of physical injury marks in the medical report. The court ordered authorities to pay ₹3 lakh to a minor under the Uttar Pradesh Rani Lakshmi Bai Mahila Samman Kosh scheme within 10 days of presenting a certified copy of the order. The case relates to an FIR registered in Lucknow on December 7, 2022.
