BusinessAir India and Akasa Raise Fuel Surcharges After IndiGo Amid ATF Price Rise
Air India Group announced an increase in fuel surcharges on domestic and select international routes due to rising Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices. The new surcharges apply to bookings from October 9, varying by sector and route. This follows IndiGo's similar hike and comes amid higher operating costs caused by fuel price spikes, West Asia conflict, airspace restrictions, and rupee depreciation.
