BusinessAir India, Air India Express Raise Fuel Surcharge on Flights
Air India and Air India Express have increased fuel surcharges on domestic and select international flights due to rising Aviation Turbine Fuel (ATF) prices. Domestic surcharges now range from Rs 400 to Rs 1,200 depending on flight distance. International surcharges range from Rs 1,000 for SAARC routes to Rs 10,000 for Europe. This follows a similar hike by IndiGo amid global energy price pressures linked to geopolitical tensions in West Asia.
