PoliticsAir Chief Warns Delay in Fighter Jet Delivery Harms Air Force
Air Chief Marshal AP Singh stated that significant delays in the induction of new fighter jets, including Tejas aircraft, are harming the Indian Air Force. The number of fighter squadrons is decreasing while air power's role in security challenges is growing. He emphasized the need to induct 36-40 jets annually to address shortages and expressed hope that Tejas Mark-1A and Rafale jets will improve the situation. He also expressed concern over China-Pakistan collaboration on fifth-generation fighters.
