ADB, Japan Sign Financing Pact for Green Ammonia Project in Andhra Pradesh

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the government of Japan have signed a financing agreement with AM Green Ammonia, backed by Greenko founders, for a 1.1-million-tonne green ammonia plant in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh. The $100 million loan comes from ADB's Leading Asia’s Private Infrastructure Fund 2, financed by JICA. This is the first investment under the ACCEL initiative to enhance energy security and sustainability in Asia-Pacific.
