Adani Green Invests in Battery Storage to Address Grid Curtailment
Adani Green Energy reported a ₹700 crore EBITDA loss in the six months ending September due to renewable power curtailment caused by transmission constraints. CEO Ashish Khanna stated that without curtailment, first-half FY27 EBITDA would have been around ₹9,000 crore instead of ₹8,276 crore. The company is investing in battery energy storage systems (BESS) at Khavda, Gujarat, with 6.6 GWh total capacity to reduce curtailment and improve renewable energy utilization.
