Accused Hemanth Shot by Police While Escaping After Andhra School Chainsaw Attack

Andhra Pradesh police shot and critically injured 21-year-old Hemanth alias Dummu, accused of attacking two girl students with a chainsaw inside a government school in Anantapur district. Arrested in Atmakur forest after a search, he resisted arrest, threw stones, and tried to attack officers with a knife. Police fired six rounds in self-defense. Hemanth is hospitalized with six bullet injuries.
