85-Year-Old Ex-IAS Officer Sends Legal Notice to Bengaluru Police Over Fireworks Ban

MG Devasahayam, an 85-year-old retired IAS officer from Bengaluru, has sent a legal notice to Karnataka police officials alleging failure to enforce the Supreme Court's ban on bursting sound-emitting fireworks between 10 pm and 6 am. He cites respiratory ailments worsened by noise and smoke pollution, affecting himself, infants, and elderly residents in Lingarajapuram and neighboring areas. He first contacted the police commissioner on August 12.

ISRO Plans Five Major Missions Including Gaganyaan Unmanned Flight

ISRO strengthened India's NavIC system by successfully launching the NVS-03 navigation satellite, bringing the total to four satellites in orbit. ISRO flew NVS-03 satellite with pyro valves open to ensure mission success
