World71-Year-Old Odisha Woman Survives Crocodile-Infested River Sweep
Keshi Dalai, a 71-year-old woman from Kalamatiya village in Odisha's Jajpur district, was swept away by the swollen Birupa river while relieving herself. She spent nearly two hours fighting the strong current and crocodile-infested waters, drifting about 22 kilometers downstream to Balipatana in Kendrapara district. Rescuers spotted her, pulled her from the water, and provided first aid before calling an ambulance.
