71-Year-Old Man Killed by Tesla in Full Self-Driving Mode on California Freeway

A 71-year-old man was fatally struck by a Tesla operating in Full Self-Driving mode while crossing westbound Interstate 80 in Vallejo, California, on October 22 around 2:30 am. The Tesla, traveling at about 70 mph, attempted to brake and steer left but hit the pedestrian. The driver, a 26-year-old from San Francisco, stopped and shared dashcam footage with authorities. The pedestrian was later hit by another vehicle and died from injuries.
