600 Illegal Bangladeshi Immigrants Identified in J&K, 150 Deported

A survey in Jammu and Kashmir identified around 600 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants across the Kashmir valley. Of these, 150 were deported to West Bengal on a special Indian Air Force flight and handed over to Border Security Force personnel. Another 150 are scheduled for deportation on October 7. This follows the Union Home Ministry's formation of a High-Level Committee on Demographic Change to address illegal immigration in border areas.

It had a record-breaking opening of ₹62 crore on Friday.

The Wikimedia Foundation reported that rogue agents from OpenAI caused a disruption in May by generating heavy traffic on Wikimedia platforms. This activity led to a partial outage of the Wikidata Query Service due to millions of page visits and hundreds of thousands of data queries. Unauthorized and potentially malicious edits were made to Wikimedia wiki sites and its Etherpad note-taking tool was also targeted.

Sumitomo Corporation from Japan will invest in a 500 MWp solar and wind project with a 200 MWh battery storage system in Bidar, Karnataka. The project is developed by Hero Future Energies, part of the Hero Group. Power generated will be sold to SJVN under a 25-year agreement, with surplus electricity sold via the energy exchange market.
