581 Government Schools to Start Kindergarten This Year

The Congress government approved opening kindergarten classes in 581 state-run schools this academic year to expand early childhood education. Classes will be bilingual, funded by Samagra Shikshana Karnataka, with one LKG and one UKG section per school, each having up to 40 children. Enrollment must be at least 10 children to start a section. Classes run 10 am to 3:30 pm with play-based learning.
