300-Year-Old Nine-Headed Ravana Idol Protected in MP's Satna
In Satna district, Madhya Pradesh, a 300-year-old idol of Ravana with nine heads is preserved inside the Kothi police station. Local priest Ramesh Mishra maintains a family tradition of worshiping this idol during Dussehra. Unlike the usual practice of burning Ravana's effigy, this statue is revered and protected, reflecting the region's cultural ties to Ramayana myths.
