More than 300 trucks carrying raw petroleum coke are stranded at the Assam-West Bengal border. The Andhra Pradesh Lorry Owners’ Association (APLOA) has appealed to the Union Finance Ministry and the Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) for intervention. Despite GST compliance and payment of Integrated GST (IGST), the trucks are reportedly being prevented from proceeding. Nearly half the trucks are destined for Visakhapatnam.
