Around 300 residents of the disputed Kotia area, located in Odisha's Koraput district, voted in Andhra Pradesh's panchayat elections despite the ongoing border dispute between the two states. Odisha police had shut down a polling station set up by Andhra Pradesh near the border, but voters crossed rivers and hills to cast their votes. Odisha's Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari accused Andhra agents of facilitating this and said investigations will follow.
