27.43 Crore LPG Consumers Complete Aadhaar Biometric Verification

As of September 19, 27.43 crore active domestic LPG consumers in India have completed Aadhaar biometric verification, covering about 89.9% of total active users. From October 1, 2026, biometric verification will be mandatory to avail LPG subsidy and book cylinders at subsidized rates. Consumers can verify via delivery personnel, distributor offices, or gas company apps. Those without verification can buy LPG at market rates without subsidy.

GST Revenue in September Rises 14.7%, Stays Above Rs 2 Lakh Crore

GST revenue collection in September increased by 14.7% year-on-year to Rs 2.04 lakh crore, marking the third consecutive month above the Rs 2 lakh crore mark.
