17 Arrested in Manipur for Impersonating Kuki Armed Group Cadres

Security forces in Manipur arrested 17 individuals from a designated camp in Kangpokpi district for impersonating members of the Kuki National Army and Kuki Liberation Army, both covered by the Suspension of Operations agreement. Authorities seized 24 sophisticated firearms and ammunition. The arrests followed protests over the killing of three Meiteis. The accused were remanded to eight days police custody and charged under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and Arms Act.
