15 Houses Burnt, Three Injured in Manipur's Kamjong Attack

At least 15 houses belonging to the Kuki community were set on fire in Chassad village, Kamjong district, Manipur, after suspected militants attacked late on October 17, 2026. One Kuki civilian was killed and four others injured earlier that day. Civilians fled to forests and an Army camp. Assam Rifles, BSF, and Kamjong Police deployed to control the situation. Deputy CM Nemcha Kipgen condemned the violence.
