1,950 kg Adulterated Pheni Seized in Hyderabad Before Dasara, Diwali

Ahead of Dasara and Diwali, Telangana Standards Authority for Food and Essential Drugs (TG SAFE) conducted a special enforcement drive in Hyderabad targeting manufacturers and retailers of pheni, khara, and other festive food products. Twelve teams inspected 12 establishments across areas including Attapur, Jiyaguda, Charminar, Begum Bazar, Moosarambagh, and Badangpet, seizing 1,950 kg of adulterated pheni and noting hygiene and licensing violations.
