BusinessPhoto: MintRetired UK Man Makes $2 Million Selling 15-Year-Old Pokémon Cards
A retired decorator from Woking, UK, sold a collection of vintage Pokémon cards for £1.56 million (around $2 million), far exceeding the estimated value of £250,000. He had bought 42 sets from 1999 to 2009, mostly from Malaysia via eBay. One set bought for £300 sold for £75,000. The auction took place at Ewbank's, surprising the man who was unaware of the cards' value until recently.
