Rare 1929 René Lalique Vase Bought for £1 Sells for £32,450
In 2008, a woman purchased a glass vase for £1 at a car-boot sale in Dumfries, Scotland, and used it as a plant pot. She later found out it was a rare 1929 design by French artist René Lalique. Experts valued it at £25,000 on Antiques Roadshow, and it eventually sold at Christie's London auction for £32,450.
